I’m not a DJ, but i’m a mixing engineer. I have a friend who wants to build a project. We’ve been discussing this for awhile now. I have a studio, and the only thing missing is a producer as I’m not very fond with trying to mix over a youtube beat (an mp3 file 2 track, it’s just not going to be a good mix).
I have the tools necessary. My question is, is mixtape hosting still relevant? DJ spinz, DJ drama, and trapaholics are a few favorites of mine. Thing is, they were the shit….. 12-15 years ago.
I’m in college, not even of drinking age yet and really have always have had a passion for music all my life.
When I ask is hosting still relevant, I mean would it be worth it backing an artist project?
Thanks yall. 🙏🏽
